The students of Electrical Engineering Department have signed a petition to dissolve the executives of their departmental union in Imo State University Owerri over alleged financial misconduct.

The hammer was on the president who, according to our source, failed to transmit receipt for departmental dues to a graduate of the department.

Our source has it that the graduate had asked the president for the receipt severally with the president giving him empty assurance until the matter was reported to the Head of Department H.O.D.

The H.O.D is then expected to dissolve the entire executive as a way to bring checks and balances to the departmental union.
