Heartland FC Condole With Sunshine Stars Over Assistant Kit Manager's Death
Heartland FC have sent condolences to Sunshine Stars and the family of the club's late assistant kit manager, Taiwo Dosunmu who died on Friday in Benin as a result of the gunshot wounds from the December 7th armed bandits' attack along Benin/Ore Expressway.

The Naze Millionaires in a condolence message from the General Manager, Promise Nwachukwu prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Dosunmu and also called on security agencies to expedite action on bringing those involved in the dastard act to book.

The Owena Whales were on their way to honour the Nigeria Premier Football League tie against Bendel Insurance in Benin when their bus was attacked by armed bandits with the ex-Assistant Kit Manager, Taiwo Dosunmu shot and other officials and players sustaining various injuries.

Nwachukwu told the club's media that he was saddened by the death of Dosunmu who they had been praying for to make a quick recovery and return to work and that the dead former Assistant Kit Manager would continue to be remembered for his act of bravery and the sacrifice he paid for his darling club.

"This is very unfortunate. We had prayed for him to have a quick recovery and after he stayed for some time, we thought the worst was over until the news of his death filtered in," Nwachukwu said.

"We will continue to remember him for his gallantry and bravery that safeguarded the lives of other players and officials.

"We are imploring the Nigerian Police and other security agencies to work harder to fish out those involved in the dastard act to stop as a deterrent for others in the future. We pray that we never witness this type of situation again."
